About The Position

CompQSoft is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient System Administrator to maintain the operational readiness and security posture of critical information systems supporting CNIC and NIWC missions. This role is highly focused on cybersecurity compliance and the sustainment of specialized Lab environments at the OTC Operational Platform. The successful candidate will ensure all systems—including PSAC-EA, NPACS, and vLAMAS—maintain a valid Authority to Operate (ATO) through continuous monitoring, patching, and STIG application. Cybersecurity and Compliance STIG & Patching: Lead the application of DISA STIGs and execute patching, imaging, and scanning for CNIC Ground Based Radar Systems (GBRS) and Physical Security Information Management Systems. Vulnerability Management: Perform regular scanning (ACAS/Nessus) and analyze results to prioritize remediation across Development (DUCS), Test (TUCS), and Pre-Production (PUCS) environments. RMF & Documentation: Support ATO and Memorandum for the Record (MFR) packages for new or re-accreditations for NIWC Pacific review. Maintain accuracy in eMASS and update technical artifacts documenting system changes. PO&AM Management: Manage and Adhere to Plans of Action and Milestones (POAM) in accordance with NAVWAR SIPH and CNIC PSS standards. Reporting: Provide a monthly contractor cybersecurity workforce roster and contribute to weekly status reports regarding system availability and risks. System Operations and Maintenance Environment Sustainment: Maintain and adhere to DUCS, TUCS, and PUCS up-time, usability, and performance benchmarks identified in the CNIC Public Safety Systems program. Baseline Management: Maintain the Baseline Configuration for Lab Development, Test, and Production environments, conducting quarterly audits to verify documentation accuracy. Network Coordination: Interface with PSNet/EAE Network Engineering and the NOC to troubleshoot outages and maintain network requirements for the OTC Operational Platform. Change Management: Adhere to the current CNIC Enterprise Change Request (CR) approval process before modifying access controls, network settings, or software versions. Help Desk Support: Respond to all assigned Help Desk Trouble Tickets in support of PSAC-EA, NPACS, or general CNIC Public Safety Systems. Configuration Artifacts: Maintain Lab Concept of Operations and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), topologies, and VISIO drawings as required for NIWC approval.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. (Experience may be substituted for a degree.)
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on system administration experience supporting enterprise environments, with at least 2 years focused on DoD or Federal systems.
  • Clearance: Must possess an Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Certification (DoD 8570/8140): Must hold an IAT Level II certification or higher (CompTIA Security+ CE is required).
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience performing DISA STIG application and troubleshooting resultant system issues.
  • Hands-on experience with automated vulnerability scanning tools such as ACAS or Tenable Nessus.
  • Expertise in Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022).
  • Familiarity with networking principles and secure communications (e.g., firewall rules, secure protocols).

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience supporting U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard C4ISR, training, or mission systems.
  • Proficiency with VMware vSphere and managing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
  • Experience documenting compliance and security evidence in eMASS.
