About The Position

The Systems Administrator is a hands-on role responsible for the management, support, and ongoing improvement of the credit union’s core infrastructure systems across multiple locations. The role plays a key part in ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of infrastructure and network services while providing responsive technical support to end users in a regulated credit union environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in systems, infrastructure, or network administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Windows-based infrastructure.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, including Entra ID and Exchange.
  • Experience supporting virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with Cisco/Meraki network equipment.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, ACLs, NPS, routing, and switching.
  • Experience supporting enterprise backup, monitoring, or endpoint management solutions.
  • Experience working in a security-sensitive or availability-critical environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a financial institution or other regulated industry a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support core infrastructure systems including Active Directory, network components, identity services, virtualization platforms, servers, and supporting services.
  • Perform routine system maintenance including patching, updates, monitoring, backups, and recovery testing using established change practices.
  • Support Microsoft-based environments including Windows Server and Microsoft 365 / Entra ID.
  • Maintain accurate infrastructure and network documentation, including configurations, procedures, and diagrams.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities through execution of backups, restores, and testing.
  • Administer and support LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and internet connectivity across branch and office locations.
  • Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues and coordinate with vendors as needed.
  • Implement and support infrastructure and security controls related to access management, system hardening, logging, and monitoring.
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation, incident response, and internal reviews as directed.
  • Support regulatory and compliance needs by maintaining secure configurations and providing technical documentation when requested.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of member, employee, and institutional information.
  • Provide technical support for infrastructure, systems, and network-related issues.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for critical incidents and outages.
