About The Position

Do you like working hands-on with infrastructure while also building strong, long-term relationships? We’re InterWorks, a people-first technology consultancy, and we’re looking for an IT Systems Engineer to join our team in Stillwater, Oklahoma. This is a client-facing role for someone who combines strong technical expertise with professionalism, curiosity and a solutions-oriented mindset. You’ll work directly with organizations to design, implement and maintain the technology that supports their operations. We’re looking for someone who enjoys both the technical details and the human side of IT. Please be advised that this role is required to be located in the InterWorks headquarters office in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Remote work or telecommuting arrangements outside of this jurisdiction are not permissible for this position. Salary range commensurate with experience and qualifications: $45,000-$60,000

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Dell EMC server hardware
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft 365 technologies
  • Working knowledge of switching and routing concepts
  • Advanced knowledge of desktop operating systems
  • Experience with antivirus or endpoint protection solutions

Nice To Haves

  • CCNA, VMware or Microsoft certifications
  • Server virtualization experience (VMware or Hyper-V)
  • Enterprise storage experience (iSCSI preferred)
  • Desktop virtualization (VDI) experience with VMware Horizon or Workspace ONE
  • Wi-Fi networking experience
  • VoIP solution experience
  • Business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) experience
  • Microsoft licensing knowledge
  • Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS and/or Azure)

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to assess IT needs and recommend practical, scalable solutions
  • Support solution scoping and technical design during client engagements
  • Plan and coordinate infrastructure refresh and renewal cycles
  • Manage client relationships with professionalism, empathy and responsiveness
  • Execute infrastructure projects and resolve day-to-day technical issues
  • Maintain and support servers, networking equipment and end-user systems
  • Continue developing your expertise through training and certification paths
  • Collaborate with teammates to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients
