About The Position

IJW Whiskey Company, LLC (IJW) is a dynamic, fully integrated whiskey company. Founded in 2017, we’ve compiled the largest independent library of aged Kentucky bourbon and rye and established a global presence including offices in Beverly Hills, Louisville and Tokyo, Japan, a 100-acre campus in Danville and a bottling facility in Harrodsburg. In 2023, we will break ground on two distilleries, one in Shelbyville Kentucky and one in Chitose Japan. We have also assembled a second-to-none team of experts with 100+ years of industry experience, as well as enthusiastic newcomers who have excelled in a diverse range of fields. As the Systems Administrator, you will be a key member of our IT support team, responsible for addressing complex technical issues and providing advanced troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation of our information technology systems. You will play a crucial role in resolving tickets, assisting personnel, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our technology environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional to make a significant impact in supporting our company's technology needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience as a Tier 2 IT Support Specialist or in a similar technical support role.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Strong expertise in diagnosing and resolving network-related issues.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and desktop imaging.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • A proactive attitude, with a keen interest in staying updated with the latest technology trends.

Responsibilities

  • Handle IT support tickets, investigating and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Provide timely and effective technical assistance to end-users, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in any new hire IT onboarding requirements.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
  • Analyze system logs, network traces, and error messages to identify root causes of recurring issues.
  • Assist with server and network administration tasks, including user account management, permissions, and access controls.
  • Participate in system maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure the stability and security of our IT infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications, ensuring their proper functionality and compatibility.
  • Provide guidance to end-users on the effective use of software and applications.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement security measures, such as data encryption and access controls, to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures and assist with security audits.
  • Maintain detailed records of support activities, solutions, and troubleshooting steps in the knowledge base.
  • Contribute to creating and updating technical documentation, FAQs, and user guides.
