Administration of Human Resource Programs

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all computer and server-based systems.

  • Installs and maintains all operating systems, utilities, compilers and network software on all computer/server platforms.
  • Manages and supports the DNS, DHCP and all Windows Active Directory Schema and Infrastructure across all College domains.
  • Manages, installs and supports all imaging document systems and applications.
  • Works collaboratively with faculty to support the academic computing environment.
  • Manages disk storage on all platforms.
  • Provides technical support to faculty and staff.
  • Establishes standards for accounts.
  • Adds accounts when approved.
  • Monitors systems performance and adjusts system parameters as necessary.
  • Monitors system usage for unauthorized access attempts and reports violations to senior management in the department.
  • Works collaboratively with computer technicians in the planning, distribution and installation of all software components and network infrastructure.
  • Manages, supports and maintains Windows-based Web Servers.
  • Manages, maintains and supports vCenter, virtual machines and virtual infrastructure.
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2 years' experience managing Windows Servers and VMware
  • Knowledge of data processing and network concepts and hardware and software architecture.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, faculty, staff and students.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 4 years' experience managing Windows Servers and VMware
