Maps Credit Union seeks an experienced Systems Administrator to join our growing Information Technology team. This position plans, designs, and implements new technologies and services for all Windows servers, including designing, installing, configuring, and fine-tuning Windows Operating Systems. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and group policy, experience with Azure, Office 365 management, scripting, and the ability to configure and support virtualization environments and systems monitoring tools.

  • Plan, design, implement, test, and support Credit Union business processes, with an emphasis in systems administration and security - including physical and virtual server environments.
  • Administer Active Directory and appropriate group policies for all Credit Union domains.
  • Remediate any vulnerabilities discovered through quarterly scans - ensuring all operating system and ancillary software packages are appropriately patched, including antivirus and endpoint protection software.
  • Support and maintain information backup technologies such as backup to disk and real-time vaulting.
  • Responsible for configuration, monitoring, documentation, and planning related to Azure virtual infrastructure.
  • Design, implement, test and document disaster recovery plans for critical systems and processes.
  • Evaluate, recommend and develop network systems, processes and products to meet business needs.
  • Provide project leadership in product research and testing, vendor requests, change implementation, hardware and software upgrades and migrations.
  • Provide system administration by documenting and monitoring the performance of Windows servers.
  • Maintain Windows network operations by troubleshooting and solving software and network-related problems.
  • Provide hardware support by maintaining inventory records for budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Perform maintenance and administration of databases related to the Credit Union's core transaction system and ancillary business systems.
  • Report to management on the status of various information systems projects, including ongoing updates related to security.
  • BS/CS degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience with Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive professional experience in enterprise systems hardware and software architecture, acquisition, maintenance, support and migration.
  • Solid understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, LDAP, and Active Directory is required.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in technical customer support.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Must submit to an annual background investigative report initiated by the Credit Union.
  • Experience with Azure (preferred) or AWS.
  • Office 365 management (Teams, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Desktop Apps) desired.
  • Ability to configure and support virtualization environments - Azure (preferred), Hyper-V or VMWare.
  • Experience with systems monitoring tools - SolarWinds Orion (preferred), Nagios, Zabbix etc.
  • Demonstrable skill with scripting - PowerShell (preferred), Python, Perl, etc.
