About The Position

The Multi-Domain Solutions (MDS) division at Leidos is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to lead the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of complex enterprise systems and associated hardware. The ideal candidate will drive IT infrastructure strategy, ensure system reliability, performance, and security, and provide technical leadership across physical and virtual environments.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience in installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of IT systems and associated hardware.
  • Working knowledge of system infrastructure management and IT best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with system administration, server administration, system configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency managing physical and virtual systems.
  • Experience supporting backup and recovery operations in enterprise environments.
  • Ability to update and support systems by tuning performance, allocating storage, and implementing patches.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows environments and Active Directory (AD) administration.
  • Experience with scripting and automation, including Microsoft PowerShell.
  • Experience supporting technical projects and process improvements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting system upgrades or infrastructure improvement efforts.
  • vSphere administration (ESXi, vCenter)
  • Cisco routing and switching
  • Windows Server installation, configuration, patching
  • Familiarity with reviewing system performance logs and resolving operational issues.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional IT teams.
  • Understanding of security compliance requirements in enterprise or mission environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain systems, including servers and supporting hardware, in physical and virtualized environments.
  • Administer and support systems infrastructure in alignment with established functional specifications and organizational best practices.
  • Monitor system performance, review logs, and troubleshoot issues to maintain system uptime and reliability.
  • Implement and support system backups, disaster recovery procedures, and restore operations.
  • Manage storage resources, apply patches and system updates, and perform routine performance tuning.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Recommend improvements to system performance, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support organizational technology needs.
  • Support technical projects, system upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
