About The Position

The Tech Spot Systems Administrator, System & Infrastructure, plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing IT infrastructure by troubleshooting issues, implementing system changes, and ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The team delivers high-impact, in-person end user support through Tech Spots, ensuring minimal downtime and sustained productivity. They promptly address technical issues, troubleshoot, and maintain IT infrastructure, including Windows and Mac workstations and Active Directory. Emphasizing clear communication and organizational change management, the team aligns technical services with business needs. Collaboration and knowledge sharing foster expertise in automation and system reliability. Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting and maintaining Windows/Mac operating systems and IT infrastructure components.
  • Strong proficiency in automation and scripting to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Expertise in Active Directory management and organizational change processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify root causes effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to provide clear status updates and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and sharing knowledge to develop team capabilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with attention to root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, alerts, and system performance checks to ensure availability.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and sharing knowledge within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Windows/Mac workstation environments and IT infrastructure to ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues by analyzing root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Develop, test, and deploy automation scripts and programs following established procedures and standards.
  • Manage Active Directory services, including user and group administration and access controls.
  • Monitor system alerts, performance metrics, and security events to proactively address potential risks.
  • Collaborate with team members to document processes, share knowledge, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate status updates and technical information clearly to stakeholders and customers.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide timely support and incident response.
