About The Position

Functional Role: EITEN 1 ACOS Senior Systems Administrator Location: Ramstein AB, Germany Duties/Responsibilities: Ensures stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems that support core USAFE-AFAFRICA intelligence functions. Will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues. Involves a blend of complex systems integration, systems management, and information security, with a special focus on mission-driven Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) networks. Oversee the installation, configuration, testing, and enhancements of operating systems, application software, and system management tools for a complex infrastructure. Provide essential integration and maintenance for IT and communications equipment supporting ISR networks. Perform systems life cycle from implementation to decommissioning. Deliver rapid technical capability enhancements of systems and networks to support Agile Combat Employment (ACE) maneuvers, counteract cyber threats, and improve intelligence activities. Research and provide information on emerging systems capabilities to ensure the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and industry standards. Conduct systems analysis to proactively identify and address potential issues. Monitor IT and communications performance, recommending and executing actions to optimize network health and bandwidth. Perform continual maintenance and provide robust solutions for security, backup, and redundancy to ensure system availability and reliability. Develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex administration problems, ensuring the smooth operation of all managed systems. Support the Major Command (MAJCOM) Special Security Office (SSO) Information Assurance (IA) program with conducting periodic evaluations, managing RMF documentation, performing Assessment and Approval (A&A) functions for managed systems, and developing Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M). Provide support for cryptologic and classified storage and processing of communications on intelligence systems to ensure information availability, integrity, authentication, and confidentiality. Prepare, maintain, and evolve comprehensive documentation for processes, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to integration projects and ongoing operations. Coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment. Experience: Requires a minimum of five years of experience, of which at least three years must be specialized experience in systems administration. Education: A BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study which is in computer science, information systems, physical science, engineering, or a mathematics-intensive discipline. Education and experience requirements may be substituted with: Associates degree and seven years of relevant experience (or) No degree and eleven years of directly applicable experience. Candidates must meet German TESA minimum requirements.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship Required
  • Requires a minimum of five years of experience, of which at least three years must be specialized experience in systems administration.
  • A BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study which is in computer science, information systems, physical science, engineering, or a mathematics-intensive discipline.
  • Education and experience requirements may be substituted with: Associates degree and seven years of relevant experience (or) No degree and eleven years of directly applicable experience.
  • Candidates must meet German TESA minimum requirements.
  • DoD 8140/8570.01M IAT Level II Certification
  • One of the following technical certifications is required: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (Microsoft AZ-800 & 801)
  • Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: Top Secret/SCI
  • Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: Top Secret/SCI

Nice To Haves
