Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Systems Administrator with demonstrated experience in top level Active Directory OU management and system administration.
  • Bachelor's degree. In lieu of a degree, substitute 1-year experience.
  • SECRET Clearance Required.
  • DOD 8570.01-M IAT II Certified in at least one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CSA+ GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) Windows Server 2019 certification within 6 months of hire. In lieu of the MCSA Server 2019, position requires comparable Microsoft certification under the new Roles Based Certification path.
  • Clearance and DoD 8750.01-M IAT II certification must be delivered and validated at the time of application and prior to interview.

Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the onsite Project Manager.
  • Utilizes ServiceNow ticketing system for processing of service requests and incidents.
  • Operates and maintains unclassified Installation Organizational Unit (OU) within Active Directory to include providing top level OU administrator management, infrastructure management and monitoring.
  • Installs approved for use software on desktop systems.
  • Performs release management to include commercial software, standard software, and new system releases for domain managed systems.
  • Performs updates for all end user computers on the enterprise network to include automated software updates, security updates, and vendor patches are provided to end user devices on the enterprise network.
  • Customers must ensure device availability.
  • Resolves unclassified desktop system requests through remote administration actions (troubleshooting, repairing) that do not require touch labor.
  • Receives, tests, tailors, publishes, and advertises patch packages containing software updates, security updates and vendor patches for push to unclassified end user devices.
  • Installs, tests, and verifies operating system service packs, application updates and patches on all common user systems.
  • Monitors system logs, security logs, and application logs for each file, print, and common user applications systems.
  • Provides local touch labor (layer 1 troubleshooting, repairing, etc.) for Enterprise assets and resolve requests through remote administration actions (troubleshooting & repairing) that do not require touch labor.
  • Performs as an escalation entity for Help Desk trouble tickets to solve Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III issues.
  • Work Saturdays. Personnel can flex schedule and pick their two off days.
