Requirements

  • Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience
  • Technical skills: Java 17+, Spring Boot, Reactive RESTful Web Service Development with Spring WebFlux, Streams, Kafka, Redis, Oracle database, React/Next.js UI framework, Github, Kubernetes, and Docker. Ensure the stack enhances performance, security, and maintainability
  • Security clearance level: 2 - Moderate Risk

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, configuration and maintenance of servers including physical and virtual environments.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Manage the Active Directory, and other core IT services.
  • Monitor systems performance and troubleshoots moderate to complex issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Perform maintenance such as patch management, updates and backups.
  • Plan and execute systems upgrades and hardware/software installations.
  • Ensure systems are updated with latest security patches and software updates.
  • Implements and maintains security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with organization policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, manage and test backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services.
  • Participate in disaster recover drills and business continuity planning.
  • Provide support to end users and other IT staff by resolving complex hardware, software and system related issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures and changes.
  • Create reports on system performance, security incidents and other key metrics.
  • Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure coordinated delivery of IT services.
  • Provide recommendations for system improvements based on analysis and industry best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • May assist in the development of IT policies and procedures.
  • May coach and provide guidance to less experienced professionals.
  • May serve as a team or task lead.
