We are Northrop Grumman Space Systems focused on work in the Launch and Missile Defense Systems area - Seeking a System Administrator/Lab Manager in Boulder, CO. Join the Advanced Programs team in a software research and development engineering environment as a Systems Administrator managing a lab of hardware and software. Your job would be to ensure effective management of the IT infrastructure while maintaining compliance with security policies and regulations. This role is an on-site position and does not offer a remote option. If not local, relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements

  • Must have an active Secret clearance and the ability/willingness to obtain a TS clearance
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT/IAM II certification
  • Experience with being a systems administrator in a Linux/Red Hat environment
  • Level 3 - Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience; 3 years of related experience with a Masters or PhD; 9+ years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Linux (RH9) and basic security concepts
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Containers
  • Embedded equipment familiarity is a plus!
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 and associated family of documents
  • Familiarity with DISA STIGS/Benchmarks and SCAP Compliance Checker
  • Working Knowledge and ability to configure Tenable Security Center/Nessus
  • Familiarity with Host-Based Security System (HBSS)/Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS)
  • Exposure to Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Familiarity with Identity/Authentication management tools and concepts

Responsibilities

  • Operating System Account Management
  • Virtual Lab Management (vLab vDC Management)
  • Monitoring and Reviewing Systems Firmware Upgrades and Cybersecurity awareness
  • Working in Linux/Red Hat 9 environments
  • Developing security plans for specific networks and managing the auditing of the equipment on those networks
  • Maintaining software & hardware compliance to the latest requirements including logging, anti-virus and patching activities
  • Liaison between supply chain, facilities, and security to bring in new hardware and software that is compliant to all policies
  • Effectively communicate with system end-users, customers, program managers and software developers
