DMI, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator, MAC to join us. The role involves administering and maintaining development and production servers, including associated hardware and software, ensuring reliability and high availability across multi-redundant infrastructures. The candidate will build, configure, and optimize macOS systems (as well as Unix systems) from initial setup; administer Apache web server environments with a focus on performance tuning, security hardening, and compliance. Responsibilities also include providing on-site and after-hours server administration support, resolving critical issues, and sustaining uninterrupted operations for mission-critical systems. The position requires performing system maintenance functions, including patch management, log analysis, user access administration, backup oversight, and desktop support in accordance with NIH security standards. The candidate will implement, configure, and manage digital certificates; participate in annual Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) audits; and collaborate with NIH security teams to document and execute corrective action plans. Additionally, the role involves evaluating workflow, security, and infrastructure challenges using analytical methods, recommending and implementing corrective actions to improve performance and compliance. The candidate will leverage technical expertise in shell scripting, version repository management, VM deployment for macOS, and software tools such as OpenSSH and Homebrew to streamline operations and enhance system functionality.
