About The Position

Cimarron is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at either Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area or at the Redstone Arsenal in the Huntsville, AL area. Key Duties: Perform system administration duties on the Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) suite of applications. Support systems engineering, maintenance, and operations of cyber capabilities Assist in troubleshooting of hardware, software, and the capabilities of the DCO suite of applications. Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability. Comply with organization systems administration standard operating procedures. Maintain baseline system security according to organizational policies. Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment. Manage system/server resources, including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability. Monitor and maintain system/server configuration. Perform repairs on faulty system/server hardware. Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems. Install, update, and troubleshoot systems/servers. Patch network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties.

Requirements

  • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include, but is not limited to, testing for marijuana use.
  • This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire.   • Ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.
  • 2 or more years of general, full-time work experience.
  • 6 months or more years of directly related experience.
  • Must have a DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification with Continuing Education (CE) - (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP).
  • Must have, or obtain, an active DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Infrastructure Support certification with Continuing Education (CE) (CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, CND).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Linux system administration in a DoD environment.
  • Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) experience.
  • Experience with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
  • Server Management experience, including deployment, backups, and snapshots.
