About the position

The position involves providing system administration for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center's Persistent Infrared Analysis Squadron (NASIC/GSP), ensuring continuous availability of software components and services. The role requires maintaining security compliance, performing maintenance, and conducting continuous monitoring of software and services to support critical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous monitoring of software and services.
  • Maintain unique software, applications, and databases across multiple networks.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents and problems impacting PIR processing, exploitation, and dissemination services.
  • Troubleshoot and triage complex problems to avoid costly downtime and outages.
  • Proactively monitor and report PIR software components and services on classified networks.
  • Ensure data and products are transferred and disseminated.
  • Plan and schedule outages for updates, installs, or patches to minimize impact to PIR operations.
  • Document and report all issues and outages.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and other units.
  • Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Related Bachelor's degree or HS Diploma and 4 or more years of related experience.
  • A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
  • Security+ certification.
  • Linux scripting experience such as Bash or Python.
  • Configuration as Code experience such as Ansible or Marathon JSON.
  • Availability to work shifts supporting 24x7 operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • DC/OS and Kubernetes experience is highly desired.
