About The Position

Pratt Industries USA is seeking a motivated and skilled Systems Administrator / Database Administrator to join our dynamic applications team in Wichita, KS. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to play a critical role in managing and maintaining our core database and server infrastructure across the Pratt business system landscape.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical work experience.
Proficient knowledge of SQL.
Demonstrated experience and competency with enterprise databases, specifically Oracle and/or MSSQL databases.
Experience administering both Linux and Windows Server environments.
Strong analytical and advanced problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Virtual Server Environments.
Knowledge of NAS/SAN Storage Environments.
Proficiency in Linux/Windows Shell scripting.
Familiarity with Sybase or PostGres database systems.
Experience implementing and managing Disaster Recovery / High Availability solutions.
Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL.
Fundamental understanding of WAN/LAN networking concepts.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive database and server administration, configuration, and maintenance.
Install, configure, and manage database servers, virtual servers, and various systems.
Ensure the optimal performance, integrity, and security of all managed systems.
Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of IT infrastructure initiatives.
