About The Position

HII’s Mission Technologies division is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions that advance national security and defense objectives. This position is part of our Cyber and Intelligence division, which plays a critical role in supporting Enterprise-Level Security and Modernization efforts across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations. The selected candidate will contribute to a high-impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission-critical systems and environments. The program is scheduled to launch in early 2026 and due to the classified nature of the mission and the sensitivity of the operational environment, an active TS/SCI security clearance will be required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on systems administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and enterprise workloads (e.g., Ansible Automation Platform, BIND, Red Hat Satellite, SELinux, OpenSCAP).
  • 3+ years of experience administering RHEL servers in a hybrid environment, to include Active Directory integration, integrated DNS, LDAP/S, Kerberos authentication.
  • Experience applying and maintaining a standard security configuration based on SRGs and STIGs.
  • Experience with office administration or program support in government or defense settings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Active TS/SCI government security clearance required to start. Must be able to obtain a CI Poly
  • CSWF certification

Nice To Haves

  • Operating system formal training or vendor certifications from Red Hat (e.g., Red Hat certified systems administrator RHCSA or Red Hat certified systems engineer RHCE).
  • Formal training or vendor certifications for applications and technologies such as Citrix, Cisco, Splunk, SolarWinds, ServiceNow

Responsibilities

  • Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
  • Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
