About The Position

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Systems Administrator 3 (PACS) to join our IHT Imaging team. Unit/Position Summary Responsible for the development, implementation, and support of all components of the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) and complementary imaging systems. This includes integrating DICOM devices, evaluating, implementing, and ensuring the quality of diagnostic imaging AI applications, and supporting a large health system enterprise imaging infrastructure, including VNA, universal viewer, diagnostic viewer, and 3D post-processing applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in PACS administration or imaging informatics.

Nice To Haves

  • CIIP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and direction for software installation, configuration, and upgrades of PACS and related imaging systems.
  • Perform system operations, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Develop and conduct training for imaging informatics team members, subspecialists, super users, and providers.
  • Communicate and manage PACS downtime plans to minimize disruption.
  • Develop and manage vendor relationships to ensure seamless integration and support.
  • Develop, validate, document, and educate on imaging processes and business continuity processes.
  • Act as a key informatics resource on imaging-related capital projects, ensuring integration with DICOM devices and other imaging modalities.
  • Evaluate, implement, and ensure the quality of diagnostic imaging AI applications.
  • Support a large health system enterprise imaging infrastructure, including VNA, universal viewer, diagnostic viewer, and 3D post-processing applications.
  • Serve as an escalation point for technical, workflow, and integration issues.
  • Participate in call rotation as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
