About The Position

The position involves working with customers on data center transformation activities, specifically focusing on Windows Systems and workloads. The role requires developing Functional Specifications and independently managing all aspects related to Workload Integration projects. The individual will serve as a liaison between the customer, Transition Team, and the Datacenter Tower, effectively communicating complex concepts and processes. Additionally, the role includes collaborating with vendors and contractors to define detailed technical requirements, participating in interviews with Application owners and Business Users to identify system functions and dependencies, and executing Discovery activities to document the existing Windows server inventory. The candidate will work closely with the Datacenter Server Tower to develop and implement appropriate solutions for successful transformation, consult on complex business issues, and be responsible for identifying and documenting system requirements. The role also involves participating in the development and execution of user acceptance test plans and creating new documentation and processes as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology Discipline.
  • 6 or more years of professional experience.
  • 8+ years of Senior Windows Administration experience.
  • Proven Experience migrating legacy Windows servers to modern virtual environments using products like VMconverter or PlateSpin.
  • In-depth understanding of distributed networks.
  • Significant experience in the administration of SSL certs.
  • Experience with Windows Management (WMI - Window Manager).
  • Experience with Windows Server Management (Active Directory, Group Policy / GPO, User & Group Creation).
  • Experience with LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol).
  • Experience with DNS (Domain Name System).
  • Experience with DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).
  • Experience with IIS (Internet Information Services).

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers on data center transformation activities to confirm and document Windows Systems and workloads.
  • Develop Functional Specifications.
  • Independently manage all aspects related to Workload Integration projects.
  • Serve as liaison between the customer, Transition Team, and the Datacenter Tower.
  • Communicate difficult concepts and processes.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to define detailed technical requirements.
  • Participate in Application owner and Business User interviews to identify system functions and architectural and network related dependencies.
  • Execute Discovery activities to fully identify and document the existing Windows server inventory.
  • Work with the Datacenter Server Tower to develop and implement the appropriate solution for successful transformation.
  • Consult on complex business issues and design considerations.
  • Identify and document system requirements to enable the Technical Team to deliver the appropriate solution.
  • Participate in the development and execution of user acceptance test plans.
  • Create new documentation and processes as needed to refine, optimize, and establish network functions and processes.
