About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Manager, Systems Administration, to support an Intelligence Community customer in the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. The role involves managing a team of Systems Administrators, planning and scheduling tasks, providing training and mentorship, ensuring proper resourcing, and reporting status to senior management. The manager will also be responsible for overseeing sustainment activities for a portfolio of Joint Operation & Intelligence Center Applications, ensuring compliance with contractual Service Level Agreements (SLA), and collaborating with other engineers and security personnel to enhance organizational capabilities. Additionally, the manager will prioritize projects, provide guidance to team members, and lead process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an area applicable to the position with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Active DOD TS/SCI security clearance with an active poly or ability to obtain a polygraph.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Minimum 5 years of Linux systems administration experience.
  • Willingness to work 100% onsite in a secure environment.
  • Experience maintaining systems in cloud and virtual server environments.
  • Experience with ACAS and STIG compliance remediation.
  • Experience interfacing with government designated representatives.
  • Strong organizational abilities and communication skills.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action.
  • DoD 8570 Compliant holding current IAT level II baseline certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Systems Administrators including planning/scheduling of tasks, training, and mentorship.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate sustainment activities for Joint Operation & Intelligence Center Applications.
  • Ensure team meets contractual O&M Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Mentor and collaborate with software/systems engineers, system administrators, and security personnel.
  • Direct sustainment activities ensuring projects are completed on time and to quality standards.
  • Facilitate communication regarding project status and technical information.
  • Participate in strategic decisions about technology and long-term sustainment requirements.
  • Provide task direction and guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Investigate problems and develop corrective actions.
