About The Position

Peraton is hiring a Systems Administrator for the Military Intelligence Center of Excellence (MIITS Contract) supporting the USAICoE G6 Systems Operations - Desktop team at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. What you’ll do: The Desktop Team Systems Administration Associate will be responsible for the following but not limited to: Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers, monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user accounts, setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software, and allocating storage space. Evaluate vendor products, make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and configure backup and recovery of systems. Develop and monitor policies and standards for PCs, VMs, and virtual appliances. Deploy and configure virtual appliances and servers used to manage the VDI service including: User experience monitoring User setting backup Endpoint management Install and configure Omnissa Horizon Connection servers, replica servers, and configure Cloud Pod Infrastructure. Other duties include: Review vulnerability scans and develop remediation plans Patching workstation operating systems such as Windows 11 Using Omnissa (formerly VMware) Horizon to automate deployment of VM images Troubleshooting PCs, thin client / zero client hardware, and printers Apply operating systems and applications STIGs for security compliance Provide end user support Create and update system documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of direct relevant experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
  • Security+ certification
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VMware vSphere and Omnissa Horizon
  • Automation using PowerShell, Ansible, Chef or similar software
  • Relevant Microsoft or VMware Certifications
