With minimal supervision, participates in the design, engineering, development, testing, operation, and maintenance of endpoint devices (laptop, workstation, mobile) and their corresponding management services in a global enterprise environment. A desired candidate will be able to define problems to solve in order to improve the security and usability of Client endpoint devices within established guidelines.

  • Provide technical support of MacOS endpoints and management of Client Engineering services including Jamf, Intune, Apple Business Manager, Code42 CrashPlan, Carbon Black Defense, MacOS operating systems and all supporting technologies.
  • Design and support of automated device provisioning services, primarily Jamf/Apple Automated Device Enrollment.
  • Package 3rd party and native MacOS software for deployment to endpoints in new, upgrade, and patch scenarios.
  • Configure and deploy MacOS policies, scripts, and MDM profiles to endpoints in accordance with all Information Security standards.
  • Perform or coordinate endpoint management service installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Monitor all endpoint deployments to ensure quality and SLA compliance.
  • Take ownership of escalated incidents from helpdesk personnel for Client Engineering services including advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues on MacOS endpoints.
  • Monitor and respond to all incident and request tickets coming into the Client Engineering queue.
  • Create and maintain detailed end-user documentation, systems architecture diagrams, process flows, and reporting for Client Engineering managed systems.
  • 5+ years of experience administering, configuring, and performing advanced troubleshooting of modern Apple devices in an enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of experience administering multiple endpoint management technologies including Jamf, Intune or comparable MDM product, Azure AD/Active Directory.
  • 1-3 years of scripting experience - shell, Python, Ruby, or any scripting language used to automate, configure, administer or secure an Apple environment.
  • Basic knowledge of REST APIs - how to authenticate, query, and script automation tasks against them.
  • Experience working on multiple projects and comfort meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate complex technical concepts to peers and management.
  • Ability to think logically and analyze application and business process requirements.
  • Experience in a user-focused technical-support environment.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
