Systematic Trading Lead
About The Position
Our client is a global leader in active fixed income. They are currently scaling its Systematic strategies business and are building the technology team. We are searching for the lead technologist to support this build out. The team is responsible for working with Quant PMs to 1) provide the research infrastructure 2) translate research ideas into trading strategies 3) provide the trading platform. This individual will lead the design, build and operation across these three areas and lead the technology team. We are looking for an individual with rich domain expertise in systematic trading and electronic trading architecture and a passion for sitting at the intersection of finance and technology.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with systematic trading technology – experience with 1-2 prior platform build outs across research and trading
- Strong partner to the desk – working daily with Trading/Quant to solve problems, architect solutions and phase.
- Composed in a fast moving environment.
- Exceptionally strong engineering manager who empowers, grows individuals and drives culture and engineering practices
- Production mindset understanding the criticality of code developed in systematic trading and the rigor required in production environment
- Pragmatic and commercial decision maker – delivering value while iterating the platform
- Expertise in Python and feels ownership of the codebase and quality even if not coding the majority of the time
- Ability to engage a wider group of technology stakeholders/dependencies in execution technology or trading services
