About The Position

As a System Compatibility Engineer, you will be responsible for validating Micron's DRAM products in customer systems. This includes system-level failure analysis, characterization, and qualification. You will design experiments, run diagnostic software, analyze data, debug issues, and develop custom tools. Collaboration with internal and external teams is key, and occasional travel may be required to support customer engagements or partner development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Experience or understanding of hardware systems (e.g., x86, ARM, DRAM, Intel, AMD)
  • Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, motherboard)
  • Proficiency in software tools and languages (Python, Linux, SQL, C#, Golang)
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

  • Internship or experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of computer system architecture and DRAM operation
  • Innovative attitude with a desire to improve processes and products

Responsibilities

  • Lead Micron product qualifications with internal and external customers
  • Develop validation strategies and system test methodologies for new technologies
  • Design and implement automation for system-level testing
  • Perform computer and system characterization and failure analysis
  • Collaborate with system enablers and multi-functional teams across Micron
  • Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to diverse audiences
