The System Test Engineer supports the planning and execution of Missile Defense System (MDS) ground and flight tests in which the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program participates. This role is responsible for planning assigned test events and developing the required test artifacts to support successful execution, integration, and certification activities across domestic and international test events.

Requirements

  • Bachelors with 5+ or Master with 3+ Years of Experience
  • LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site at Schriever AFB in Colorado Springs, CO
  • CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT: Secret

Nice To Haves

  • Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System (MDS), including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks.
  • Prior integration and test experience within the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and support execution of Missile Defense System ground and flight tests supporting the C2BMC program.
  • Support ground test activities including pairwise tests, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI), Integrated Ground Tests (GTI), Distributed Ground Tests (GTD), cyber tests, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), and pre-flight Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) efforts.
  • Support flight test activities conducted with pre-determined sensors and shooters.
  • Support international test events involving both ground and flight test activities.
  • Plan assigned test events with emphasis on development and implementation of required test artifacts, including: Test objectives Architectures Data Item Descriptions Defense Designs Sensor Resource Management (SRM) settings Operational Tasking Data Link (OPTASKLINK) Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI) configuration and forwarding tables CDS, TDACS, TRAUT TDACS Communications Connectivity Matrices Event Configuration Baseline (ECB) System Adjustable Parameters (SAPs) and Site-Specific Parameters (SSPs) BDR and PR applicability Certification Data Packages
  • Support planning phase reviews and coordination meetings.
  • Support customer boards and program meetings.
  • Support data management activities associated with test execution.
  • Interface with developers to support test readiness and issue resolution.
  • Support government personnel during event execution phases when requested.
  • Support anomaly resolution and troubleshooting activities.
  • Support analysis teams during post-event activities.
  • Support Failure Review Boards (FRBs).
