KIOXIA America Inc., formerly Toshiba Memory America Inc., is looking for a System Test Execution Engineer, Customer Technical Support Engineer, SSD BU in the Customer Technical Support department. This role reports to the Sr Manager, Customer Technical Support, Central Region, SSD BU. As a Test Development & Execution engineer, this role will include conducting hands-on testing of SSDs in a variety of customer test environments. You will work to develop test automation scripts and troubleshoot SSD products in a range of servers with different OS and BIOS environments. In some cases, you will collaborate directly with customers on test design and execution plans.

  • Work independently as a test engineer to set-up and conduct hands-on testing of NVMe and SAS SSD products in server platforms.
  • Generate records to track test progress and results in an organized manner.
  • Create test plans for optimized efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal and customer engineers, including international teams, to support SSD software testing.
  • Communicate frequent status updates to relevant team members.
  • Document and resolve technical issues in a variety of OS environments.
  • Conduct first-level failure analysis on SSD drives that fail during qualification and or returned for urgent field issues.
  • Perform other lab-related functions related to the support of our products and customers, including planning for new test equipment purchases, maintenance and configuration of existing equipment infrastructure as needed.
  • Install NVMe and SAS Servers into racks.
  • Basic Networking (DHCP, DNS)
  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or equivalent of minimum of 2 years of experience in technical industry with hands-on hardware testing experience, ideally with HDD or SSD devices.
  • 2-4 yrs experience with Windows & Linux OS interfacing.
  • Experience in NVMe & SAS interfaces, storage architectures, operating systems, and RAID file systems.
  • Working knowledge of storage architectures and file systems.
  • Familiar with RHEL, ESXi, Ubuntu, Azure HCI, SUSe, SPX.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer engagement skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize and complete simultaneous issues and tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem solving and issue triage skills
  • Experience with iDRAC and Dell BIOS.
  • Experience with SAS/NVMe protocol analyzers.
  • Ability to create simple scripts in Windows and Linux OS. (Bash, CMD, Python)
  • Past experience as a Dell NVMe test Engineer
