The System Technician in the Telecommunication Services industry plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of telecommunication systems and infrastructure. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software components that support communication networks. The technician will work closely with engineering and operations teams to optimize system performance and minimize downtime.   • Install, configure, and maintain telecommunication hardware and software systems according to company standards and industry best practices.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system integrity and prevent service interruptions.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, network issues, and hardware failures, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network engineers, field technicians, and customer support to address technical challenges and implement upgrades.
  • Document system configurations, maintenance activities, and incident reports to support operational transparency and continuous improvement.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, telecommunications, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within the telecommunication industry or a similar technical environment.
  • Basic understanding of telecommunication network architectures, protocols, and hardware components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Certification in relevant technologies such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.
  • Experience with fiber optic systems, VoIP technologies, and wireless communication equipment.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and diagnostic software.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in telecommunication installations.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced telecommunication service provider environment.
