About The Position

The candidate will report to the hiring manager and take responsibility for developing control databases, graphics, and programming sequences while providing hands-on startup and commissioning support for building access control and CCTV systems. Drawing on a solid understanding of electrical circuitry and platforms like Lenel, Software House, Genetec, Avigilon ACM/ACC, Pro-Watch, Milestone, Bosch intrusion. The specialist will troubleshoot installation issues, maintain accurate project documentation, and ensure systems operate efficiently to meet building codes and client needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in installing and servicing security solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience with programming and building access control and CCTV database management
  • 5+ years of experience with troubleshooting basic electric and electronic circuitry, including reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams.
  • 5+ years of experience with proven field experience in building automation controls programming, network integration, and system commissioning.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, and control wiring diagrams.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year technical degree in related studies.
  • At least 5 years of experience in installing and servicing security solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience with Lenel or Lenel Certification.
  • 5+ years of experience with Genetec or Genetec Certification.
  • 5+ years of experience with Software House or Software House Certification
  • 5+ years of experience with Pro-Watch or Pro-Watch Certification.
  • 5+ years of experience with Three Sixty Intercom system or Three Sixty Certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide Controls database, graphics, programming, etc. for sequences as provided by the Design Specialist, project specifications, or other applicable sources.
  • Provide accurate controls of systems start-up and commissioning including point-to-point checkout on projects as assigned.
  • 5 years of experience with Lenel, Avigilon ACM/ACC,Genetec and various other card access and CCTV systems.
  • Proficiency in computer operating systems, including the MS Office Suite of products.
  • Ability to work with electronic equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Competence in troubleshooting basic electrical and electronic circuitry, including reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to empathize with others' issues and perceptions and to creatively and effectively work through these issues to achieve successful outcomes and ensure customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Support and coordinate with installation personnel, contractors, and project managers, etc. on project sites.
  • Debug and troubleshoot installation issues during both the static and dynamic start up and commissioning of building controls.
  • Provide support to Climatec /Bosch Building Technologies and other contractors to solve building operating issues that go beyond the controls or special systems operation.
  • Provide input to others as requested or required to assist in the accurate estimation, design, installation, start up, commissioning, and training for building systems.
  • Provide start up documentation including daily logs, check out logs, commissioning documents, etc. as required for assigned projects.
  • Provide hands-on service support on existing installations ensuring systems continue to meet existing building occupancy codes.
  • Provide hands-on service support on existing systems ensuring their proper and efficient operation as well as providing ongoing support to the facility’s building engineers.
  • Complete time sheets, service work orders, and other paperwork required for this position in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist in preparing of as-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
  • Assist in turnover of projects from Operations Team to Service Team.
  • Assist Sales team during estimating phase including potential product or system demonstrations.
  • As necessary, travel will be required to the job site to complete startup, commissioning and assistance to the onsite personnel to complete the project. This will be on a case-by-case basis, depending on the size, scope, and requirements of the project(s).
  • Deliver on-site customer training and technical support to building engineers, project managers, and staff.
  • Other Duties As Assigned.
