Position is currently located in Elkridge, MD and will likely relocate to another Customer site in Washington, DC by Spring 2026. HOW AN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DATA ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Design, implement, document, and manage information system security applications. Review and analyze collected data in Splunk and other monitoring tools to determine the performance, health and security of a system or network. Recommend and implement changes to the overall system or network to ensure service to the customer. Recommend and implement changes to hardware and software configurations across a system or network to maximize performance. Expert knowledge of organization and Information Technology operations and business objectives. Collect, analyze, and interpret data in one or more specialties to include Splunk Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) system. Manage products and services to provide real time analysis, monitoring and alerting on security logs generated by applications, hosts, and network devices. Formulate and define system scope and objectives, develops or modifies processes to solve complex problems for computer systems and business and electronic interfaces to achieve desired results using innovative technologies. Develop and apply advanced engineering and design methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced system requirements, hardware/software interfaces and applications. The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Requirements

• Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree + 8 years
• DoD Manual 8570.01-M at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II role
• Experience monitoring performance, health, and security via Splunk
• Experience configuring information system security applications.
• TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph

Nice To Haves

• DoD 8140 Certifications: PenTest+, GSEC, GISF, GFACT, GCED, Cloud+
• Familiarity with Splunk, Tenable Nessus, and Trellix ePO, Vulnerability Scanning, Endpoint Security (Antivirus) Products
