The position is currently located in Elkridge, MD and will likely relocate to another Customer site in Washington, DC by Spring 2026.

Requirements

  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree + 8 years of related experience.
  • Experience monitoring performance, health, and security via Splunk.
  • Experience configuring information system security applications.
  • TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Splunk, Tenable Nessus, and Trellix ePO.
  • Experience with Vulnerability Scanning.
  • Experience with Endpoint Security (Antivirus) Products.
  • DoD 8140 Certifications: PenTest+, GSEC, GISF, GFACT, GCED, Cloud+.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, document, and manage information system security applications.
  • Review and analyze collected data in Splunk and other monitoring tools to determine the performance, health and security of a system or network.
  • Recommend and implement changes to the overall system or network to ensure service to the customer.
  • Recommend and implement changes to hardware and software configurations across a system or network to maximize performance.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data in one or more specialties to include Splunk Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) system.
  • Manage products and services to provide real time analysis, monitoring and alerting on security logs generated by applications, hosts, and network devices.
  • Formulate and define system scope and objectives, develops or modifies processes to solve complex problems for computer systems and business and electronic interfaces to achieve desired results using innovative technologies.
  • Develop and apply advanced engineering and design methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced system requirements, hardware/software interfaces and applications.
