Performs System Reliability functions to improve and enhance the reliability performance of the transmission system to meet the needs of Members and corporate goals. E-III - Conduct engineering studies, research, and analysis of equipment (Digital Fault Recorders, relays, etc.) reliability data, trends, and processes that result in increased system reliability performance and a better understanding of electric system reliability issues. Accountable for supporting senior engineers in recommending improvement opportunities that enhance the operations and performance of the transmission system and align with Corporate goals and objectives. Support senior engineers in representing departmental and corporate interests in internal and external industry groups. Assist in preparing recommendations for programs and systems that support the reliable operation of the transmission system. E-IV - Identifies ways to best utilize existing equipment monitoring data (Digital Fault Recorders, relays, etc.) to proactively identify problems and prevent failures, as well as research and identify additional monitoring opportunities, such as in the Engineering Data Diagnostic Center. Corroborate with SR department personnel, FOC departments, and ITS partners to continually improve the reliability performance of the transmission system to meet Members' needs and Corporate goals. Serve as an SR contact for other departments to ensure that products and reports meet their needs. Provide assistance to other department staff with outage investigation, clearance mitigation, benchmarking, project justification, relaying, and lightning issues as needed.
