About The Position
Xcel Energy is seeking an entry-level System Protection Engineer to work with the transmission planning and substation/transmission engineering group. This position is designed to develop technical expertise in a specific area of specialty and involves performing work that includes conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment with relatively few complex features. The role includes maintaining compliance with several NERC PRC Standards and supporting other departments in the day-to-day operations of the electric transmission and distribution systems. The chosen candidate will be placed at a level commensurate with their skills and experience, with opportunities to lead small-medium projects and provide field oversight under the direction of higher-level engineers or supervisors.
