The incumbent’s primary role is to apply protection subject matter expertise to conduct business with applicable laws, regulations, internal and external standards and guidelines. This includes maintaining a clear understanding of which regulatory standards and requirements must be complied with, and ensures that work processes incorporate best practices, standards, guidelines, and other controls. This position works closely with System Protection Engineering, Substation Test, Asset Strategy, Grid Operations, IT, Business Applications Development, and Transmission Compliance to support compliance-related reviews, lead business area teams on compliance projects, and may conduct root cause evaluations as needed in order to ensure controls are in effect for compliance and other System Protection processes and practices. PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $24.52 to $35.37 The successful intern will have the opportunity to lead and/or support activities as described above working with a team of experienced Program Managers. Additionally, the intern will gain knowledge of the larger Electric Substation System Protection organization through the work they will be performing.
