About The Position

As a System Programmer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering a wide range of creative programs that connect people of all ages to the Library's resources and services. From hosting dynamic in-house events to fostering community partnerships, you'll ensure CCPL's programming remains vibrant, relevant, and accessible.

Requirements

  • Experience creating and delivering engaging programs to diverse audiences of all ages.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with guests, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Proficiency in computers and software applications, with familiarity in library technology systems preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet programming schedules.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Nice To Haves

  • A four-year degree and/or prior library experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct creative programs for youth, adults, and intergenerational audiences both within library branches and through community outreach.
  • Partner with staff across the system to plan and execute programs and special events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, and local partners to promote Library programs and services.
  • Manage program schedules, maintain task lists and timelines, and prepare reports, including project cost analysis.
  • Assist in training staff on effective programming techniques and serve as a mentor to new team members.
