About The Position

As a System Programmer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering a wide range of creative programs that connect people of all ages to the Library's resources and services. From hosting dynamic in-house events to fostering community partnerships, you'll ensure CCPL's programming remains vibrant, relevant, and accessible.

Requirements

Experience creating and delivering engaging programs to diverse audiences of all ages.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with guests, colleagues, and community partners.
Proficiency in computers and software applications, with familiarity in library technology systems preferred.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet programming schedules.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Nice To Haves

A four-year degree and/or prior library experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

Develop and conduct creative programs for youth, adults, and intergenerational audiences both within library branches and through community outreach.
Partner with staff across the system to plan and execute programs and special events.
Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, and local partners to promote Library programs and services.
Manage program schedules, maintain task lists and timelines, and prepare reports, including project cost analysis.
Assist in training staff on effective programming techniques and serve as a mentor to new team members.
