Join the Clean Energy Revolution Become a System Planning Tools Engineer 2 at Southern California Edison (SCE) and help build a better tomorrow. In this role, you will shape the future of the electric grid by transforming complex planning data into actionable insights that support long term system decisions. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and advisors to gather and validate critical inputs, design and implement automation that enhances System Planning, Grid Planning, and Internal Energization workflows, and develop accurate forecast models and clear visualizations that reveal emerging system needs. You will also contribute to the design and construction of a new generation of planning tools, including data pipelines, analytics models, and application interfaces that improve planner productivity and decision quality. This work contributes to SCE's Integrated Grid Planning and Execution (IGPE) initiative by supporting the integration of distribution and transmission planning into a streamlined, data-driven process. A strong foundation in System Planning and the ability to write efficient code in Python and create robust database scripts in SQL will be essential, along with a commitment to learning quickly and applying sound engineering practices. Your work will strengthen SCE's ability to anticipate load growth, integrate clean energy resources, and deliver a resilient, data driven grid.
