$120,000 - $155,000

About The Position

We’re looking for a System Optimization Specialist to serve as a key technical leader responsible for ensuring HVAC and mechanical systems are installed, tested, validated, and optimized to meet design intent, contract requirements, and MacDonald-Miller performance standards. In this role, you will bridge field execution, commissioning, and system performance by combining hands-on field expertise with system-level optimization, QA/QC oversight, and cross-functional coordination. You will act as a single point of accountability for verifying system functionality, identifying deficiencies, and driving resolution to deliver a high-performing, zero-callback project. You will work closely with field teams, controls, engineering, and project management, while also interfacing with owners, general contractors, and design engineers. The System Optimization Specialist role reports to Nicole Spangler the System Optimization Department Manager. In this role, you will analyze system performance across airside and hydronic systems, validate installations against contract documents and sequences of operation, and lead system testing, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts. You will support QA/QC and commissioning processes, ensure documentation is complete and accurate, and communicate system status, deficiencies, and resolutions clearly to project stakeholders. You will also play a key role in owner training and system turnover, ensuring long-term system performance and client satisfaction.
