About The Position
The System Operator at East Kentucky Power Cooperative (EKPC) is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operations of the EKPC transmission system. This role involves real-time decision-making during both normal and emergency conditions, including the authority to shed firm load to prevent violations of system operating limits. The operator must comply with all PJM directives and maintain thorough knowledge of the transmission system operations within the PJM RTO, ensuring safety and efficiency in all activities.
