JOB PURPOSE We’re hiring a System Operator to join our GROVE (Grid Response Optimization of Virtual Energy) team. This role offers hands-on training and clear career growth in the fast-evolving world of distributed energy systems. You’ll work in our 24/7 operations center monitoring real-time energy data and supporting grid optimization efforts nationwide.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn new technical systems, dashboards, and proprietary software quickly
  • Comfort working with data, understanding numerical thresholds, and tracking performance metrics
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel for organizing and analyzing data
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work one of three shifts (7 AM–3 PM, 3 PM–11 PM, or 11 PM–7 AM)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data analysis, control systems, or energy monitoring
  • Exposure to troubleshooting or maintaining technical systems
  • Background in a technical training program or coursework in electronics, IT, or engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor distributed generation assets and report on performance
  • Log and process dispatch signals with accuracy
  • Track and analyze energy data using Excel and internal tools
  • Support internal teams when alerts or issues arise
  • Document processes and maintain accurate records
  • Provide data and insights to support customer and sales teams
  • Communicate clearly and work efficiently with your shift team
