Summary of Role: Seeking a System-on-Chip Design engineering student as an intern to design High-Performance Data Processing Unit Chiplets and Automotive Microcontrollers. The candidate will be responsible for contributing to all phases of the design lifecycle, from concept to delivery. Activities will include contributing to RTL development of an IP to developing flows and methodologies to improve design efficiency.

Requirements

  • Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or Perl.
  • Understanding of digital design fundamentals.
  • Competency in writing synthesizable SystemVerilog or Verilog.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Hands on development of submodule and chip level RTL.
  • Contribute to the development of frontend design flows and methodology for improved efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Arch, Verification, Physical Design, etc) to resolve issues.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
