About The Position

Facilitating the seamless operation of essential IT services and enhancing the overall experience for the co-op's employees and members. The System/Network Administrator I provides tier 2/3 support. In addition, they will be assisting with maintaining, implementing, and optimizing our organization's systems and network infrastructure under general supervision. This role requires an understanding of operating systems, network protocols, security principles, and troubleshooting techniques. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. These specifications are not intended to cover all aspects of the position as the scope and duties may change or be altered based on the business needs of the cooperative.

Requirements

• Two (2) + years of combined education and/or experience in IT or related field required.
• At least one associate/intermediate level IT certificate is required. If not currently obtained, must be acquired within one (1) year of employment.
• Must have strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of networking principles, and be familiar with related hardware and software.
• A good understanding of cybersecurity and network security technologies and best practices.
• Must have an intermediate level understanding of Active Directory, networking concepts, operating systems, and managing workstations and servers in an enterprise environment.
• Above average organizational and follow-up skills are necessary.
• Must possess above average communication skills (verbal and written).
• Must have an intermediate level of Networking concepts, Active Directory, Networking protocols, and managing workstations and servers in an enterprise environment.
• Must be able to work in a team, independently with moderate guidance and supervision.
• Must be trustworthy, able to work well with others, and self-motivated.
• Above average organizational, project management, and follow-up skills.
• The ability to learn South Kentucky Rural Electric's policies and procedures as they pertain to the position will be required for this position.
• Accuracy and attention to detail is essential in this position.
