Kaeser Compressors, Inc. is seeking individuals who have worked in an industrial/service/sales environment to fill the position of System Monitoring Specialist for our Fredericksburg location. The selected candidate will be responsible for all Sigma Air Utility compressed air systems through remote monitoring, remote dial-in to the compressor station, and evaluating the demand to supply profile. The role involves independently acting on system alarms and e-mail notifications, coordinating with servicing partners and/or site personnel to address critical alarms, and dispatching technicians after hours when necessary. Additionally, the candidate will monitor service intervals, coordinate scheduling of on-site service and maintenance activity, and schedule site visits for regular systems inspections. The role also includes performing site audits to identify potential areas of improvement and analyzing data with Kaeser proprietary software to correlate faults to system operation and recognize system trends. Reports based on analyzed data will be provided for escalations and management of site performance.

  • Be responsible for all Sigma Air Utility compressed air systems through remote monitoring.
  • Remote dial-in to the compressor station and evaluate the demand to supply profile.

  • Pro-actively coordinate with servicing partners and/or site personnel to address critical alarms, including dispatching technicians after hours.
  • Monitor service intervals, coordinate scheduling of on-site service and maintenance activity.
  • Schedule and coordinate site visits for regular systems inspections.
  • Perform site audits to identify potential areas of improvement when required.
  • Analyze data with Kaeser proprietary software to correlate faults to system operation and recognize system trends.
  • Provide reports based on analyzed data for escalations and management of site performance.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Department to independently review service intervals and optimize based on site data analysis.
  • Provide as necessary 'real world' data for machine service and maintenance lifecycle calculations.
  • Evaluate necessary improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise site work to assure adherence to the specifications when necessary.
  • Perform tasks and supervise activities within the approved budgets and provide justification when cost overruns occur.
  • Monitor compressors and compressed air stations outside of SAU as required.
  • Learn and follow all applicable procedures and work instructions relating to the Company's quality and environmental system.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the Manager.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience 3+ years job related experience.
  • Good customer service experience.
  • Previous experience as a technician, troubleshooting or mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Familiar with data processing including graphing and interpretation preferred.
  • Understanding of compressed air systems and the application of supply side components preferred.
  • Ability to understand and produce/edit technical documents.
  • Good communication skills/phone skills required.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • SAP experience preferred.
