ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented LAN Systems Integration and Test Technician to join our team of IT support professionals in Northern Virginia. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and performance of our network systems. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, and configuring Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls, providing technical expertise in the management of both public and private networks. The role involves testing and analyzing network facilities, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters, and servers. In addition to installation and configuration, the technician will support and maintain Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs), evaluating and recommending networking products and software upgrades. The technician will perform technical analyses of software, hardware, and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools to support efficient network operations. Monitoring data traffic and controlling network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission is also a key responsibility. The technician will identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems related to network failure and the usage of PC hardware and software. This role requires solving complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions and exercising judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. The technician will impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within their own team and other related teams, working within broad guidelines and policies. The hours of coverage for this position may vary, but the technician will be part of a team that provides coverage from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
