We are seeking a highly skilled System Test & Integration Engineer with expertise in compute platforms to join our engineering team. This role is critical for ensuring seamless integration and robust performance of complex systems across hardware, software, and networking layers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux-based environments, compute platform integration, and system-level testing methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in system testing and integration, preferably in compute platforms or embedded systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux kernel, Linux-based OS environments (Ubuntu, OpenWRT, Linux LE), and compute platform configuration.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) and test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest).
  • Familiarity with system architecture, embedded compute systems, and networking protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, JIRA, and test management platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Applicants must be eligible for a government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Qualcomm QCS compute platforms or similar embedded compute solutions.
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel internals, driver integration, and performance tuning.
  • Exposure to cellular protocols (3G, 4G, 5G) and wireless connectivity stacks.
  • Programming skills in C/C++, Java for embedded or compute environments.
  • Familiarity with RF measurement tools, network protocol analyzers (Wireshark, iPerf).
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute system-level test plans for QCS compute platforms, including Linux-based operating systems such as Ubuntu, OpenWRT, and Linux LE.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, and systems engineering) to define integration strategies and resolve platform-level issues.
  • Perform integration and validation testing to ensure compute platform functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and drive corrective actions across hardware/software boundaries.
  • Develop automated test scripts and tools (Python, Bash) to improve test coverage and efficiency for compute environments.
  • Act as a liaison between internal technical teams and external partners/vendors for integration and troubleshooting.
  • Support system verification and validation in lab and field environments, including compute platform performance benchmarking.
  • Document test results, integration issues, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
