We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers The Effectors Center in the SE&TC Directorate is seeking Flight test engineers focused on Lab Integration, Platform Integration, and/or Flight Test. In this role you will be hands- on, supporting the successful completion of test events and the associated analysis of test data.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics or Math and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience.
  • Hardware Systems Integration, Platform Integration and/or Flight Test experience
  • Experience with Systems Integration and Test practices and reviews
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to build missiles and execute tests
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in integration with test equipment, telemetry data analysis tools, and missile systems host platforms
  • PRISM experience
  • Experience coordinating with USG customers & test personnel

Responsibilities

  • Support the program’s flight/field test effort primarily by managing the build of flight and field test missiles.
  • Coordinate with the USG customer, range personnel and with internal stakeholders across functions.
  • Missile management: frequent coordination across engineering functions and Ops, documentation of pedigree, analysis of test results, supporting the generation of missile build plans and configuration definition, extensive documentation and support to internal and USG processes.
  • Support field testing and occasional travel for durations typically for a one- or two-week duration.
  • Create/modify documentation in support of reviews associated with formal testing
