The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements of the strategic deterrence. Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile. We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer - Senior to perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, while focusing on supportability and effectiveness of the total systems. Analysis is performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. This position requires the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solution that acknowledges technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university in a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects concurrently in a functional capacity.
  • Understand technical drawings and documentation.
  • Proficient with desktop software tools to support product development.
  • Experience with technical presentation development and public speaking.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance in support of government contract; US Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • FBM Program Experience.
  • Understanding of the basic principles of Systems Engineering Lifecycle.
  • Direct Experience managing requirements using DOORs, DOORS Next, JAMA, or similar.
  • Experience with Cameo modeling and MBSE concepts.
  • Basic understanding of project management.
  • Knowledge of MILCON and FBM facility sustainment processes.
  • Experience engaging with FBM or other government representatives.
  • Knowledge of the Strategic Weapon Facilities and their missile processing functions.
  • Experience working with equipment/material inventories and related databases.
  • Familiar with the classifications of FBM support equipment.
  • Ability to lead a team and drive assignments to closure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies.
  • Perform requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Oversee data management of a large set of facility equipment to ensure proper configuration and control.
