About The Position

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring that systems, networks, and hardware run efficiently and securely. The role requires strong experience in systems architecture, virtualization, network design, and troubleshooting, along with a deep understanding of both on-premises and cloud-based technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in system engineering or a related role with hands-on experience in infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in system architecture and design, including hardware, software, and networking.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows Server, Unix).
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Familiarity with networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLANs, etc.).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, etc.).
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage complex IT systems and infrastructures, including servers, storage, and networking solutions.
  • Oversee the performance, scalability, and security of the company's IT systems.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) to improve system efficiency and reliability.
  • Work with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to integrate and optimize infrastructure for hybrid environments.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement, and applying solutions to ensure system uptime and efficiency.
  • Design and implement security measures to protect IT infrastructure from cyber threats.
  • Ensure reliable data backup and disaster recovery solutions are in place, and test these systems regularly.
  • Work closely with other IT teams to align technology solutions with business needs.
  • Maintain clear documentation for system configurations, workflows, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support for resolving system issues, and perform root cause analysis for complex problems.
