About The Position

We are looking for a candidate who will be performing the role of a System Engineer - Senior, supporting PMA-262, the Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office. The position involves performing systems engineering duties in architecting, designing, integrating and testing aircraft and weapons systems. Conduct basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of computer software and hardware to aircraft and ground station design and manufacture. Recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques. Performs the role of System Architect. Coordinates technical input from NAVAIR subject matter experts to form technical recommendations to program engineering and program management. Responsible for overseeing the efforts of less senior staff assigned to a specific job/project. Ensure project procedures and controls are followed, manage manning and staffing project efforts and lead problem resolution efforts. Interfaces with system or program Contractors, vendors and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of programs/projects.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, required.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in related discipline.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in the Systems Engineering supporting DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapons systems, DoD systems or DoD support systems, consisting of the design, development, integration and system testing of computer hardware, computer software, and navigation, sensor and communication subsystems.
