Jovian Concepts, Inc is seeking a System Engineer Level 2 for an opportunity in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a MD Polygraph is required for this role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing user requirements, developing system requirements specifications, and leading design and development activities. This includes guiding users in formulating requirements, advising on alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies. The position requires providing technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, incorporating new plans into ongoing operations, and developing comprehensive technical and system architecture documentation. The System Engineer will guide system development and implementation planning, interact with the Government on technical considerations, and hold ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables in the Systems Engineering area. Key capabilities include managing system and derived requirements to ensure compatibility with defined architectures (DoDAF, SOA), contributing to systems engineering documentation (e.g., System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, Interface Control Documents), and assisting with the development of system and functional requirements. The role also involves coordinating action item resolutions from various reviews, participating in Integrated Product Teams to design new capabilities, allocating real-time process and error budgets, and generating alternative system concepts and design solutions. Furthermore, the engineer will define verification methods, develop system design solutions, review program documentation, participate in interface definition, and derive stakeholder needs and lower-level requirements. Responsibilities extend to developing derived requirements for Information Assurance Services, implementing SOA solutions and DoDAF standards, reviewing and approving system engineering documentation, capturing interface designs, assessing program risks, planning verification efforts, preparing time-line analysis diagrams, and establishing processes for managing changes to requirements. The role also entails managing the technical integrity of the system baseline, supporting DoD Certification/Accreditation processes, contributing to JCIDS documents, providing technical direction for complex hardware/software system development and integration, developing operational concepts, conducting quantitative analysis in non-functional performance areas, and coordinating system integration activities.
