The position involves developing verification and test plans that are aligned with product requirements, risks, and the theory of operations. The candidate will be responsible for constructing and troubleshooting new lasers, test systems, and instrumentation. Additionally, they will develop electronic and optical testing methodologies, including supporting software. The role requires translating market inputs into system and design requirements, manufacturing, and product specifications. Collaboration with a larger team of optical, electronic, software, reliability, applications, marketing, and research professionals is essential to tackle cross-functional challenges. The candidate will leverage their expertise in engineering and/or applied physics to address challenges related to laser usability, performance, reliability, and quality. They will also need to be an expert on the optical, mechanical, electrical, thermal, and software interfaces that define the systems.
