Systems Engineer I – Ion Implanter Responsibilities: Guide our batch ion implanter product development team with requirements development, design input, and verification test development for new feature development and sustaining engineering projects. Much of the project work will include wafer handling for 150mm, 200mm & 300mm wafers in semiconductor manufacturing applications including Si, SiC and thin wafers and working with high voltage DC and RF power supplies. Provide hands on technical support for legacy systems, including power distribution, control systems, and interlocks Leading root cause analysis and resolution of electrical issues in the field and factory Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures Collaborate with engineering team to identify and qualify replacement components for obsolete parts, ensuring form/fit/function compatibility Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and serviceability Support retrofit and upgrade projects for legacy platforms Interface with suppliers and contract manufacturers to resolve component or assembly issues. Be responsible for running tests and experiments as specified by R&D team. Perform data formatting and analysis and present findings and improvements to cross-functional teams Participate in design reviews and provide feedback and input to engineering teams on system improvements Interact with on-site manufacturing, design, and equipment engineering teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including problem solving methods
  • Familiarity with PLCs, control systems, or semiconductor manufacturing equipment preferred
  • Basic understanding of vacuum systems, RF electronics, and high-voltage components is a plus
  • Experience with wafer handling systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
